The Colorado Division of Water Resources (CDWR) presented information on the administration of produced water from Coal Bed Methane Wells at two public meetings.

The presentation covered the direction given by the Supreme Court decision in the Vance v. Wolfe case, highlighted the elements of House Bill 09-1303 legislation and the resulting rulemaking, and gave some insight on the ongoing water court and well permit application process. The Colorado State Engineer and his representatives, along with representatives from the San Juan Basin natural gas producing companies, were available to provide information and answer questions.
